Le syst\u00e8me actuel exige que les patients consultent un m\u00e9decin de famille avant d\u2019\u00eatre orient\u00e9s vers un ORL, une \u00e9tape qui peut retarder les soins et cr\u00e9er des obstacles inutiles pour les patients qui ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9valu\u00e9s par un orthophoniste ou un audiologiste.<\/p>\n<p>Pour rem\u00e9dier \u00e0 cette situation, nous continuons \u00e0 travailler avec des repr\u00e9sentants du coll\u00e8ge des orthophonistes et audiologistes de la Saskatchewan (CSASK) et un groupe de travail compos\u00e9 d\u2019orthophonistes et d\u2019audiologistes. Ensemble, nous plaidons en faveur d\u2019un syst\u00e8me plus efficace qui reconna\u00eet l\u2019expertise des professionnels r\u00e9glement\u00e9s pour diriger les patients vers des sp\u00e9cialistes lorsque cela est appropri\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le cadre de cette initiative, nous avons rencontr\u00e9 le Dr Russ Murphy, chef de la division d\u2019oto-rhino-laryngologie de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de la Saskatchewan, et avons obtenu d\u2019excellents commentaires sur les crit\u00e8res d\u2019orientation. Nous avons \u00e9galement rencontr\u00e9 un repr\u00e9sentant d\u2019une autre association qui a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 passer au processus d\u2019orientation directe.<\/p>\n<p>Ensuite, OAC-SK continuera \u00e0 travailler avec ses partenaires pour pr\u00e9ciser les crit\u00e8res d\u2019orientation et explorer les \u00e9tapes \u00e0 suivre pour mettre en \u0153uvre ce mod\u00e8le en Saskatchewan.
